Seminars / Workshop Fiscally Fit: How to Establish a Health & Productivity Management (HPM) Program for your Business When: February 28th, 2008 Where: Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Chesapeake Division, 400 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320 Description: As the workplace evolves into a more financially competitive environment it becomes imperative for companies to gain and/or maintain a competitive advantage. Business giants such as Motorola, Coors and Johnson & Johnson have long known the secret advantage of worksite health promotion for reducing healthcare costs and improving employee productivity. After this in-depth seminar attendees will likewise know the powerfully competitive advantage yielded by an HPM plan. Recently featured as the cover article of Inside Business (“Wellness programs find a place at work” vol. 13, #18), health promotion in the workplace is now becoming a mainstream strategy to gain a competitive edge. But two nagging questions still remain: why, and, more importantly, how. This seminar will specifically address both concerns and give the attendee both the reason for implementing an HPM program and the ammunition with which to approach the upper management team.
Objectives:
1. Understand the importance and competitive advantage of implementing a HPM program.
2. Be able to identify critical areas within the company organization which will yield the best ROI.
3. Understand how employee health status can be a “drain” on company resources.
